I am, so blessed to have been a part of this entire experience and so grateful that I got to play and make it to this stage of the game.
Four years ago, I heard of this online game called iSurv1vor, very simple, it was Survivor, but online, people from all over the world could have the chance to play, I loved it. So I decided to apply, take a shot......I was 12 years old at the time. Obviously I didn't make the final cast, but I stayed in touch, to learn more about the game and the people around the boards, meetin' new faces was something great always.
Now, I'm 17 years old, and I get to say that I got the opportunity to play iSurv1vor. Me, the fan from the "Hawaii/All-Stars" seasons.
When I started this game, I was just very excited, excited to show what I was capable of, meet new people and strategize and really own it. But something strange happened: I started to be targeted to go since the first round. I would receive at least 1 vote, and plans would be foiled to get me gone. And I asked myself many times, why? Was it because I didn't log in to Skype as much as the others? Didn't I put my 100% in every challenge as I told everyone I would? I really didn't get it. But, a stroke of luck was beside me during this entire game, and I was able to work my way into plans, schemes, alliances and challenges, all the way to 3rd place.
I got to work with 4 incredible people: Tomas, Dave, Adrian & Ryan. Plus, myself: The Mbochi Five. The alliance that took me to the merge with all honesty. This is where the game really started to count for me, cause in reality I knew that I was fifth, so it was time to cut some throats, and there went Ryan, then Adrian, and then finally Dave.
Sadly, that vote at the F4 came back to haunt me, and now i'm standing here in 3rd place. But you know what? I'm actually happy, I'm not sad or disappointed in myself. I really proved myself to everyone that I was capable of makin' it past F5, and I almost had a run for the win, but you know, it just wasn't meant to be.
I wanna thank everyone that played this season, for makin' it a memorable one for me. I made some really good friendships that will hopefully continue after this game is over. Y'all are awesome!
I also wanna thank Tucker & Sandy for hosting an amazing season, for being totally awesome, and for giving me the opportunity to play and be a part of this experience. I would totally play again if the opportunity is brought up.
This is Jose Martinez, signing out. Thank y'all once again.
